Disable search engine search functionality
This feature allows you to be searchable by search engines like Google, etc. As long as someone knows your Facebook name, they can easily find your Facebook profile. Even when you turn off this setting, others can still find you using Facebook’s search bar.
Setup method: On the computer web page, click on the upper right corner, then click on “Privacy & Settings,” and further click on “Privacy Checkup.” Choose “How people can find you on Facebook” under the settings.
Here, you can set who can find you, including those who can find you by phone number and email address: it can be “Everyone” or just “Friends of Friends.” The third setting is for search engines. If you don’t want to be found by others through search engines, you can simply turn it off.
